Cast – The Liars

Albert Buttus

Albert Buttus has successfully captured his first sea turtle after a 17 year escapade. What he will now do with this giant sea creature, he has yet to decide. Albert has a wife collection, seven cars, 4 machetes, 3 Maytag fridges, and one starving child. Albert enjoys wearing tight pants with no underwear, ostrich leather shirts, and sunglasses that are transparent. He is currently attending no schools, has no jobs, but is successful at life. Albert hopes to marry again in July and August and is inviting you to attend the weddings. Bring presents, money, and food.

Claire

Claire has just returned from taking a year off to find herself, the majority of it spent backpacking across New Jersey, a perilous journey, especially because she did not speak the language. Back in Ottawa, she is proud to present the production of a script she wrote with her “business partner” Genevieve Trottier, Truth Be Told. It is currently playing at the NAC, but she has already received calls from Hollywood and she is currently negotiating with Disney about a theme park idea. She is glad to be acting again after a brief absence due to rabies, which she contracted while playing the role of Annie in the popular children’s musical.

Paul

After a failed career in modelling, Paul turned to his old friend Marie-Claude and begged for help in reviving his nose-diving career. After being offered a part on a daytime cable access television program, Matt’s career was slowing on the rise. The series went big in Japan, and after receiving international praise, Matt was ready to make it big back home. Stunned by the success of the series, Marie-Claude offered Matt a part in The Liar’s Club. Cursed by his ego, Matt failed to show up for rehearsals. Since his name was already listed in the program, he was replaced by his twin brother and the rest is history!

Cindy

Cindy has been acting since she was very small. During her nine months in the womb, she committed to memory the complete works of William Shakespeare, including all the sonnets and his unfinished autobiography entitled, “O, Quill Ink, Quill Ink, Wherefore Art Thou Quill Ink?” She first met director Marie-Claude Valiquet while singing in a Catholic School Board Choir, during the second chorus of “O, Holy Night”. Since then, the two have worked together several times opposite each other as Timon and Pumba in The Lion King, and as Lucy and Snoopy in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.

With the support of his parents he took private music theory and composition classes (on top of his required private Bassoon lessons) with Dr. Maya Badian. As he continues his education in music, Andrew has concentrated on developing his composition skills as best he can – winning two scholarships in the process.
